About East Central Appraisals Group
Introduction
We appraise Everything from Dirt to Diamonds. East Central Appraisals Group was formed by the thoughtful merger of East Central Appraisals & Consulting Inc and Benchmark Real Estate Appraisals to create a single, stronger partner for valuation and consulting needs across the region. By combining local market knowledge, technical expertise, and a client-first culture, we deliver clear, defensible opinions and practical guidance that help clients move forward with confidence.

Our Story
Both legacy firms earned trust through integrity, accuracy, and service. As client needs grew more complex, leaders from each organization chose to join forces to preserve those strengths while expanding geographic coverage and specialty capabilities. The merger keeps the best of both companies — long-standing local relationships and rigorous appraisal practice — and unites them under the East Central Appraisals Group name.

Real Estate Appraiser Independence
Real Estate Appraiser independence is a critical element in the real estate appraisal process. This independence is intended to protect the client and intended users of any appraisal report and to further enhance the public trust in the real estate appraisal profession.
Credible real estate appraisals clearly identify the property appraised, the scope of work performed by the real estate appraiser, the client and other intended users, and the intended use of the report. The appraisal report must include the definition of value (e.g., market value), the effective date of value, the subject property’s relevant characteristics, and outline and fulfill any other special instructions from the client or intended user(s).
A credible real estate appraisal must comply with professional standards such as the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice and all regulatory requirements including Alberta’s Real Estate Act Rules and licensing procedures as regulated by the Real Estate Council of Alberta.
